Pivot Shower Doors

A pivot door swings on a hinge, so you get the full opening width to step through instead of the half a sliding door leaves you. The trade-off is swing clearance outside the shower. We hold 39, $269 to $669 — typically our most affordable door type.

What sets these apart

  • Full-width entry, which matters for larger users and for anyone carrying a child into the shower.
  • No bottom track to clean — the usual reason people move away from bypass doors.
  • Reversible models are marked, so left- or right-hand opening is decided at installation, not at purchase.

Check before you order

  • Measure the swing arc outside the shower. A vanity, toilet or towel rail in the arc rules a pivot door out.
  • Check the door's out-of-plumb allowance against your walls; pivot hinges are less forgiving than sliding tracks.
  • Confirm handing, or buy a reversible model if you are unsure.
